Overview

"Fieldwork has been a leader in world-class marketing research services and facilities since 1980. As market research has expanded from the standard focus group to incorporate other methodologies and technologies, Fieldwork has expanded with it."

Built in Wordpress, this site features a large amount of custom content blocks, a custom post type to display their employees, and a large custom post type to display the details of their many testing facilities. Ironically, they hosted the blog elsewhere.

Responsive Design

Every website I build at Orbit Media Studios has a mobile first design. I use bootstrap and SASS to target different screen sizes and apply custom styles. This ensures that each page looks good and functions correctly on every device.

Team Post Type

Fieldwork has a fairly large amount of employees. I used a taxonomy to allow each group to have their own landing page. Of course, I also created a template for individual employees.

Research Venue Post Type

Setting up the research venues post type was a lot of fun; a lot of custom functionality went into these templates. The venues are divided up into regions and then listed by city. Each venue detail template had up to 8 optional sections that could be populated with content including: a google map block, gallery block, and a custom accordion dropdown block.

Each Venue could have employees attached to it with one click on the back end.

The bar at the top follows the user as they scroll through the sections of the venue; this section being the gallery section.
