The armor lock (to me) is very annoying and difficult to fight against. while they are in the lock your bullets and grenades count for nothing and, (and here where annoying comes in) if you hit them with a vehicle while they are in lock, you will most likely blow up your vehicle (killing you) or at least flip it.
