Ragnar 2019

This Ragnar I ran the Bourbon Chase route; 203 miles from the Jim Beam distillery to Lexington Kentucky. The entire courses route was planned to go through several bourbon distilleries. Some of the on the route were: Jim Beam, Makers Mark, and Evan Williams.

I was in Van 1 (Chicken TarTar Mfers) which started the race off at 5am at Jim Beam. I was runner 2, so I got to see the sun rise during my first run. I tried to snap a couple photos, it was beautiful. My last run was a pitch black night run on a trail in a very rural part of Kentucky. I ran 5 miles of that run with another runner who was pushing hard and wanted to talk. We had a 7:03 per mile average for that run and got 30 kills together. Made a new Strava friend that night.

Over the entire course I ran 21.5 miles, broken into 3 different runs. I passed a total of 77 people, and was never passed once. I have been training heavily on my running and it really showed at this Ragnar.
